York brewery had been repeatedly winning praise for it's quality ales. However, when the opportunity arose to be distributed by Tesco, the brand had to seriously raise it’s game.
The result is a solid, confident identity, clearly linked to the heritage of being the only brewery within York’s City walls. Strong enough to stand side by side with any of the big names.
Several crafted routes and positions were considered before the final design was decided.
The new brewery identity and Yorkshire Terrier labelling has provided a much needed shift in quality perception and appeal from the original for what is now a much larger audience.
